BTS's 4th album, the best-selling album in the U.S. in the first half of the year

'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' by the group BTS was the best-selling album in the U.S. in the first half of this year.

According to the report from the music market in the half of this year released by Nielsen Music on July 10th, BTS's 4th album 'Map of the Soul: 7' ranked No. 1 in the 'Top 10 Album - Total Sales' ranking with sales of a total of 552,000 copies.

The Top 10 Album - 'Total Sales' ranking counts sales by adding real albums such as CD, LP, cassettes, and digital album downloads. CDs accounted for 96% of the total sales of the 'Map of the Sol: 7' album, Billboard said.

BTS also topped the list with 528,000 copies in the'Top 10 Physical (Real) Album', which counts only the actual sales of albums. The first half of this year in the United States, the only album that sold more than half a million copies was BTS's 'Map of the Soul : 7' and became the 'Half Million Seller' album.

It ranked 9th on the Top 10 Album of the most popular albums which was combined with the list of the most popular albums, the number of record sales, the number of digital music downloads (TEA) and the number of streaming times (SEA).

According to Billboard, BTS is also the singer who sold the most albums in the United States in the first half of this year. In addition to the 'Map of the Sol: 7' released in February, combined with previous album sales, BTS sold 757,000 copies in the United States in the first half of this year. Of these, 720,000 copies are records.

Meanwhile, the group NCT 127 also showed prominence by ranking in the 8th place in the 'Top 10 Album' with the 2nd studio album 'NCT #127 Neo Zone' released in March. It ranked 4th in the real album sales ranking.
